Another Bar for Franklin

Workers putting up drywall at 739 Franklin reported that the space will be a bar and restaurant. Said one, with a wave of his hand toward the street "y'all are going to drink a LOT."

  1. I think this is the Oyster bar that is going up. Its owned by one of the dudes from Franklin Park and a russian business owner from Coney Island.

  3. i heard Russian spoken in front of that spot the other day...very cool. Crown Heights North is very cool.

  4. Yeah, this is a different bar. The oyster bar ("Franklin Avenue Beer and Grocery") is on the west side of the street (the one Liz is thinking of). I don't know anything about this new place beyond what I heard yesterday.

  5. I suspect some of these places are not going to be here a year from now.

    Hopefully they will leave nicely renovated spaces for the next tenants.
