Photo Friday: Franklin in 1920

This image of Franklin Avenue in 1920, looking north from President Street toward Eastern Parkway, comes to ILFA from Tony Fisher of Bob & Betty's and Pulp & Bean. Tony keeps a great photo of the corner of Franklin and Eastern in his shops on the north side of the Avenue - perhaps this one will hang in the second Pulp & Bean, slated to open on the corner where it was taken later this year

  1. Tony is a solid guy, I hope the 2nd P&B does well. He has some good stories about past days you should hear (and maybe share here).

Anyone know how to get a print of the photo he has up, or this one?

  2. Honestly, Tony is the only person who seems to care about "the other franklin avenue". He has a properous business, and he is a good person. Its nice to see that he is showing an interest in investing where maybe the newer businesses wont go yet. Perhaps he will lead the change on that side of the parkway as well.
